Online courses on Domestika
Domestika is an online platform which offers creative courses. They are filmed in professional studios and edited by the amazing Domestika team. My courses are in English but there are subtitles available in many languages. The courses on Domestika consist of 4-5 units and always end in a final project which students are encouraged to make and hand in (and I will give feedback!) Exploratory Sketchbook: Find Your Drawing Style
In this online course you will learn to fill a sketchbook with different exercises using a mix of materials including gouache, colored pencils and markers. This way you will get to know your own drawing style, what colors you like and how you like to portray the world in your drawings. Colour, perspective, drawing figures and composition will be discussed. The final project of this course is a self portrait with a background of your choice.
Character Creation from Observational Drawings
In this online course you will learn how to create your own characters based on human anatomy, observation and imagination. After showing the materials I’m going to use I will explain a little bit about human anatomy, I will show how to simplify people in pictures and I’ll share how to use all this knowledge to draw people from observation in a cafe. After this we will return to the studio and create our own unique characters. Colour theory and composition will be discussed too! For the final project we will create a spread in our sketchbook filled with our unique character in different poses.
